Test Engineer - Electronics

Our client is looking for an electronic test engineer with a proven background in surface mount technology (SMT). The test engineer will be required to test and fault find production PCBAs and finished units down to component level. Test equipment includes ICT, Boundary Scan (JTAG) and functional test.


Production testing with our client is a key part of our manufacturing offering. Testing is very varied due to the range of equipment we build. Engineers need to be suitably qualified and ideally experienced in fault finding.

College graduates must be able to demonstrate relevant work experience or projects that relate to production testing and/or fault finding.

This is a busy department that continues to expand year on year.
Essential to the role is the understanding of analogue, digital and RF testing.

The ideal candidate:

The person most likely to be offered this role will have previous experience / qualifications in:

• ONC / HNC in electronics (or equivalent)
• Expertise in the testing of analogue, digital and RF PCBA assemblies
• Proven track record in fault finding to component level
• Be able to demonstrate your attention to detail
• Good computer skills. Excel.
• Good grasp of English Language (GCSE Grade 5/D or equivalent)


Up to £29,000 per annum
