Job Description
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the role is to provide Quality Engineering support to all sites and assigned projects. The position will require occasional travel to sister sites.
The role of Quality Engineer is to support the manufacturing teams to plan and implement the required tools and techniques to ensure that the final delivered product and service meets the customer expectations by undertaking the following responsibilities:
• Support accreditation processes and implementations
• Write and implement Quality Plans to meet customer requirements in accordance with policy and accreditations
• Plan quality activities across each project and ensure that they are implemented effectively
• Review and delivery of required documentation and budgets on assigned Bids and projects
• Develop and implement a supplier control plan to assure the quality of delivered items on assigned project
• Conduct supplier assessments and visits as appropriate
• Conduct Configuration audits on both internal and supplied aspects
• Identify and apply appropriate quality tools to prevent quality failures. (ie FMECA, SPC, FAI, FAT etc)
• Generate supplier non-conformity reports
• Review and advise Engineering on suitability - Prepare and manage customer acceptance events
• Implement process improvements to improve efficiency of quality activities
• Generate production process and inspection sheets to demonstrate traceability of the final product to the build standard
• Responsible for the final product release and collation of the delivery documentation
• Undertake and facilitate investigations and implement corrective actions on Customer Issues and internal process defects
• Generate appropriate KPI’s to demonstrate process and product effectiveness
Skills & Experience:
• Looking for applications from Quality professionals with a passion for continuous improvement.

Essential
• Appropriate Engineering based degree or HNC (Mechanical/Automotive/Avionics)
• Good working knowledge of quality tools and
• Experience in the implementation of quality plans and accreditations in an engineering environment
• Experience of applying QA processes to supplier quality assurance
Have knowledge and experience of a range of manufacturing processes
