Quality / Technical Manager

Location: Lymington

Hudson Shribman are currently looking for a Quality/Technical Manager to join one of our newest Lymington based customers on a permanent basis.

 

Purpose of the job:

To lead all aspects of Quality Management, Technical and Continuous Improvement..

Main duties & responsibilities:

 

Quality Management:

  • Establish, maintain and improve all aspects of the Quality Management System in accordance with the relevant standards

  • Ensure records are defined, maintained and disposed of according to the company policy

  • Control of monitoring & measuring equipment (Calibration)

  • Support quality planning within the Design and Development process

  • Minimise the total cost of quality

  • Documented release of product in accordance with customer and company requirements in a timely manner

  • Implement and control internal audit programme and identify areas for improvement

  • Monitor and manage corrective action for all incidents (complaints, returns, defects)

  • Manage any third party/customer audits and resulting corrective action

  • Define and deliver quality training as appropriate throughout the company

  • Maintain, review and action as appropriate quality metrics as defined by the company

  • Define and deliver regular management review to ensure continuous improvement

  • Appropriate monthly and quarterly reporting


 

Technical Management:

  • Provide direction, beginning with the identification of technical problems and then developing solutions for them

  • Manage the development work, considering customer´s needs

  • Monitor the implementation and project documentation

  • Act as primary point of contact for internal and external customers

  • Provide input in the development of project proposals

  • Organise and conducting debriefing meetings to evaluate projects, and identify lessons learnt for future projects

  • Ensure the technical quality of the various project deliverables


 

Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead the continuous improvement activity

  • Oversee all continuous improvement team activities

  • Provide leadership and develop a continuous improvement culture throughout the business
